Le point culminant a \u00e9t\u00e9 le cort\u00e8ge de protestation devant le Parlement europ\u00e9en. C\u2019est le Freedom Drive\u00a0\u2013\u00a0sans doute l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement le plus important organis\u00e9 par le R\u00e9seau europ\u00e9en pour la Vie Autonome (ENIL). Cette manifestation a lieu tous les deux ans \u00e0 Bruxelles et d\u00e9nonce les lacunes de la mise en \u0153uvre de la Convention de l\u2019ONU relative aux droits des personnes handicap\u00e9es. 300 \u00e0 400 personnes avec handicap venues des quatre coins de l\u2019Europe se sont rassembl\u00e9es\u00a0\u2013\u00a0beaucoup voyageant avec leur assistant-e personnel-le. Petra Stokar a ainsi d\u00e9couvert une nouvelle forme d\u2019expression artistique: \u00abJe combine d\u00e9sormais mes \u0153uvres d\u2019art avec du texte\u00a0\u2013\u00a0un instrument puissant pour donner une voix aux gens. Il n\u2019y a donc pas qu\u2019en Suisse que l\u2019on assiste \u00e0 une forme de r\u00e9institutionnalisation \u00e0 domicile. Certes, le fait que les personnes en situation de handicap souhaitent vivre dans leur propre logement est de plus en plus admis. Mais l\u2019assistance dont elles ont besoin provient toujours d\u2019une institution ou d\u2019un prestataire de services, elle est donc d\u00e9termin\u00e9e par des tiers. Une vie avec une assistance personnelle est encore inaccessible pour de nombreuses personnes avec handicap.<\/p><p>Un projet norv\u00e9gien de prise de d\u00e9cision accompagn\u00e9e donne de l\u2019espoir. Les personnes vivant avec un handicap cognitif b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d\u2019un accompagnement par diff\u00e9rentes personnes de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.
